HISTORY

The two bars are named after the Augusta and Duncan Lifeboats which rescued the crew of eight from the wreck of the Norwegian brig Caroline on December 6th 1882.The building dates back to 1728 and has accommodated a diversity of businesses from fisherman's mission to a tea-house.
